Garo Gomidas was born on January 1st, 1959 in Aleppo, Syria to an Assyrian father and Armenian mother. In the year 1982 at the age of 23 Garo formed his first Band Called “Gomidas” in Aleppo where they started playing at "The Valencia Restaurant" in Aleppo, Syria. Garo’s Passion is to sing quality new pop stylized music. In 1986 he recorded his debut CD, titled “The Beginning” which was based on a series of Armenian Patriotic Songs. After great success of his first album, Garo produced 8 other CD’s which where in Armenian and Arabic. Later In the 1994 Garo traveled to New Jersey where he recorded 2 hit albums, his “Greatest Arabic Hits Of 1994” and his hit album "In America", which included popular Armenian & Arabic songs such as "Kele Lao", "Aravadoun/Hop-Hop", "Ma Wadek" and many more. In the year 2000 Garo moved to Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates) where he sang at various restaurants and clubs one of which was the famous Alamo Restaurant. In 2003 Garo returned to his loyal fans in Aleppo where his popularity still remained the same at all the social and family entertainment spots. In the summer 2005 Garo produced a new Arabic CD titled “2005 Arabic Songs”, which included the summer hit songs “Ah Wu Ness”, “Barsha” and Many More. Later In 2006 Garo returned to New Jersey and Los Angeles were he had released three of his latest CD’s titled "Armenian Live Party 2006" and “Arabic Songs 2006” and "International Songs 2006" which included hit Armenian and Arabic pop songs such as “Anabadi Arev”, “Ardou Ganoukh” “Arabic Medley”, "Medley Jezrawi" and “Li Liyouni”, "New York, New York", "Je T'aime" and "T'amo E T'amero" that was arranged and played by composers, Viken Makoushian and Sako Chouldjian, All three of his CD’s made a hit in his singing career. In the summer of 2007 Garo returned back to his fans in Aleppo where he began singing with his loyal friend and a new star singer Vahe Hovanesian at Massaya Restaurant. Soon After in 2010 Garo started singing with star singer Ardo Fermanian in a new family restaurant in Aleppo called Nahr Al Dahab. A few months after, Garo traveled to the America where he had performed in Los Angeles and New Jersey. Garo has already released dozens of albums singing a new style to Armenian, Arabic, Assyrian, Syriac, Italian, Greek, French, Persian and American music And over the last 25 years Garo has performed many concerts and events outside of Aleppo in the following countries: USA, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Lebanon, Kuwait, Canada, Jordan, Germany and many more.
